NATURAL DREAMWORK

Picture
Picture

Natural Dreamwork is a fresh approach to dreams that brings them alive so you can receive their healing. Dream images are the language of soul, felt through senses and alive with feelings. We work through direct encounter with images and feelings, rather than turning to interpretation. Through embodied contemplation, the deep imagination in your dreams can come to life in you.

The dreamer’s relationship to the healing presences in dreams is primary. These mysterious beings come in many forms, to teach and love us, to provoke, encourage, and wake us up. To receive love is to keep our hearts open to the depths of our feelings, including difficult ones. Honest and compassionate, dreams reveal openings to connection and wholeness, and the conditioning that can hinder this. Our dream images can disrupt old stories and patterns, loosen our stuck places, and give us courage.

Natural Dreamwork is a path of wholeheartedness which can be practiced, learned, and lived, and which deepens over time.  It can interweave beautifully with other healing and spiritual paths, and with all forms of creative expression. Relationships on all levels are touched by dreams, including yours to others, to nature, and to a greater source of aliveness, which has many names.

Natural Dreamwork was founded by poet, author, and dream teacher Rodger Kamenetz.  Everything I value most has deepened through my experience of working with dream images, with Rodger's guidance. I’m grateful for his generous teaching, which encourages each dreamer to find her or his own unique voice and expression.

The Natural Dream approach is growing through a community of dreamers passionate about sharing dreams as a natural resource. Learn more at thenaturaldream.com.

You are invited to subscribe to our quarterly Natural Dream Newsletter,  of which I'm currently the editor. This is a rich offering of dream-inspired writings, artwork, and poetry, as well as news and events.

I have the pleasure of working with Marian, who has kindly and astutely led me through my dreams. Since working with her, I have made significant progress in my emotional and spiritual well-being. Working with Marian has taught me to step fearlessly into the ocean of long lost, forgotten or hidden feelings I have unknowingly carried like an invisible weight. Whether my dream is a full-on story, a quickly fading snippet, a single word, phrase, or image, Marian gently guides me toward the sacred encounter that lives within my dream and exists to remind me that I am worthy, beloved and not alone. I highly recommend Marian and her warm, authentic and intelligent approach to this profoundly healing work.

ABOUT ME

Attuned to dreams since childhood, I began my own dreamwork journey in 2009 with  Rodger Kamenetz, after reading his extraordinary book The History of Last Night’s Dream. I began working with clients in 2014, mentoring with Rodger. Prior to this I also trained through the Center for Archetypal Dreamwork for four years. I have attended numerous classes and retreats, and continue my learning through the Natural Dreamwork community.

I have a Master of Teaching in English degree and a lifelong love for poetry, story, and writing.  I enjoy living just outside New Orleans with my husband of many years, and we have two beloved daughters.
